Charlotte Tilbury La Dolce Vita Palette Review & Swatches

Right, first things first, can we just take a moment to appreciate how gorgeous this palette is? Swoon. I bought the Charlotte Tilbury La Dolce Vita Luxury Palette at the beginning of this year after hearing many a blogger rave about it. I have to admit, I hadn't used this palette in a little while and recently I've fallen in love with it all over again.

The palette features four eyeshadows fairly warm toned eyeshadows. The texture of all of these is amazing, they apply evenly and blend out with very little effort. Three of the eyeshadows are shimmer shades and have a satin finish. However, the show-stopper of the palette is definitely the glitter "pop" shade, designed to be patted on top of the lid once the eye-look has been completed.

Going clockwise, the first colour is the "prime" shade, a lovely pinky-champagne. This looks great with the other shades or even alone, blended all over the lid. It also makes a stellar brow and inner-corner highlight.

The second shadow is the "enhance" shade, a reddened, warm brown. I love warm toned browns and coppers, I feel like they really make blue eyes stand out and this shade is no exception. I also love this shadow washed all over the lids by itself with a nude lip - that was pretty much my daily makeup when I first got this palette!

On the bottom left is the "smoke" shade, which is a deep brown with gold shimmer. This looks great applied in the crease to darken the eye and make it more evening-appropriate.

Finally on the bottom left we have the "pop" shade, a golden copper glitter shade. This shadow was included in the palette to take the whole look from "desk to disco" in the words of Charlotte Tilbury herself. This shade patted onto the lids gives the look an extra boost and definitely makes it more glamorous!

This palette was my first dabble in Charlotte Tilbury makeup and it's safe to say I wasn't disappointed. The packaging alone made me want to snatch this up (judging a product by packaging - bad habit, I know) but that combined with the lovely shades and excellent quality of the eyeshadows in this palette makes it a winner for me.

I'll definitely be looking to try some more products from this range! In fact, I've already been doing some extensive "research" into picking up one of the Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks and I've got my eye on the Matte Revolution Bond Girl lipstick. And because I have fairly little self restraint - do you have any other suggestions?
