Okay, brace yourselves, I'm going to say that super clichéd thing again - where has this month gone?! Honestly, I feel like this year has absolutely flown by! It seems like it was just the other month I was freezing by the Zurich lake, wishing everyone a happy new year and trying to plug my ears so as not to be deafened by the fireworks. But anyway, I digress. There weren't as many favourites this month as there were last month and that's because I spent a massive part of September in leisure wear, bare-faced and with a bun on top of my head, alternating between writing a paper and my dissertation. But anyway, despite all that I still managed to discover a favourite (or five) during September so I thought I'd share which beauty products I've been loving this month!

First off are the two eyeshadow colours in the new MAC quad I'm building: Coppering and Amber Lights. The whole reason I started another quad was because I'd seen Coppering online and decided that it had to be mine. I'm personally not a fan of having single eyeshadows, because I find I barely ever use them, and since I love MAC eyeshadows I thought I might as well get another quad to stick Coppering into. I'm a real sucker for coppery eyeshadow colours and this is such a gorgeous reddish/copper shade, perfect for autumn! I've been wearing this as a wash all over the lid or sometimes with a slightly warm toned brown shade in the crease, to give it a bit more depth - love. When I went to London, I thought I might as well make the most of how much cheaper MAC is over there and picked up Amber Lights in Harvey Nichols - seriously, I saved a whole three pounds, it had to be done. This is another very autumnal eyeshadow and I've mostly worn this by itself, all over the lid with a berry lip - so seasonal!

I purchased the NARS Matte Multiple in Altai somewhere near the beginning of this year because I wanted a cream contour. Shortly after that, I purchased the Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting Powder and because I'm lazy and powder is so much quicker to shove on in the morning, that became my go-to contouring product and the NARS got cast aside. But in September I thought I'd give it another go and I've really been loving it. It's definitely warmer toned than the Kevyn Aucoin, but I find it gives a nice warmth to the skin without looking too orange. I think this is one that'll keep its space in my daily makeup routine for a while, especially as my face starts to get more and more pasty come winter!

Now, this post is kind of going to highlight my lack of organisation in this last week, because this product is featured in a Sephora haul post that I have in the pipelines, however this is now going up before that - whoops. I'll get back on track soon, I promise! Right, this product is one that you will probably have seen circulating the blogosphere this last month or two. The Becca x Jaclyn Hill Shimmering Skin Perfector in Champagne Pop is definitely a product that's proved worth the hype. Because I've been contouring a lot more this past month, I've also really gotten back into highlighters and this one is a beaut. It's (as the name implies) a luminous champagne shimmer, and it's definitely not on the subtle side as far as highlighters go, which I kind of love. I've been wearing this during the day to impart some much needed glow to my already dull pre-winter skin and it's been doing a fantastic job!

Okay, so this another product from my recent Sephora order - bad, bad beauty blogger. The Kat von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in the shade Lolita is another product that has a massive amount of hype around it - yes, I am a sheep. I actually read somewhere that this particular shade so perpetually sold out that they're going for $90 a pop on Ebay! Whilst I certainly wouldn't pay $90 for this or any lipstick, it is kind of amazing. So far, I haven't tried many liquid lipsticks because to my knowledge there aren't many brands that carry them in Zurich. I do however think the concept is great, because although I love matte lips and lipsticks, I hate having to reapply and worry that I'm getting that weird line around my mouth once the middle fades - not the best look. There's none of that fuss with this lipstick, once it's applied you can eat and drink to your heart's content and the worst that's happened with me thus far has been some slight fading. The colour of this is absolutely gorgeous. I've been really into browny lipstick shades these last few months and I can really see why this "chestnut rose" colour is so in demand. I only have a teeny weeny size of this, so I'm already gearing up to track down the full size once it comes back in stock - wish me luck!

Last, but most certainly not least, is a product you will have already seen me rave about if you read my London beauty haul post the other day. I'll try to keep it brief because I've already had a bit of ramble about this product! I discovered the Soap & Glory Archery Brow Pencil fairly late in the month and after using it for the first time my usual brow powder was immediately neglected. As I mentioned in my other post, I'd only used this a few times before I ran back out to get another one before going back to Switzerland - don't judge, good drugstore brow products are hard to come by! I have the shade Blondeshell in this pencil, which is a great, cool toned light brown. Although I am blonde, my eyebrows are more brunette, but if I dare use any dark brow products on them I end up looking ridiculous because of my light hair! That's why this product is such a great match for me, light without being warm toned - because really, who wants orange brows?

So there you have it, those are the products I've been loving through the month of September. There aren't a load of them but y'know, quality over quantity and all that. I'm personally chuffed that we're properly getting into autumn and I've secretly started counting down to Christmas - yes, I'm one of those! I hope you've all had a fantastic month!
