I can't even begin to describe to you how excited I was when I first saw the NARS x Steven Klein One Shocking Moment Palette pop up online. I've been waiting for ages to get my hands on it and I'm so chuffed that it's finally arrived *squeal*! Steven Klein is a photographer and has teamed up with NARS for their 2015 holiday collection. All the packaging in this collaboration features Steven Klein's work and it's definitely something very different from your usual holiday packaging. His photos are fairly risqué and some of them err on the bizarre side, however others really are great. I think the photography on this palette settles somewhere in between. It's an interesting shot, however it's still slightly out of the ordinary but I think the overall packaging of the palette is really gorgeous and it definitely has a luxe feel to it.

Let's get onto what's actually in the palette, because you sure do get a lot! The palette features:

- 2 x 0.12 oz Contour Blush in Paloma (I), Paloma (II)
- 0.29 oz Bronzing Powder in Laguna
- 0.12 oz Blush in Robotic
- 0.12 oz Blush in Blasphemy
- 0.12 oz Blush in Luster
- 0.12 oz Blush in Dolce Vita

The palette retails for a total of £49.00, however if you were to add up the value of all the products featured in it, you'd get a grand total of around £107.00. So you're getting some serious bang for your buck here! I've had my eye on Luster and Dolce Vita for a while now and I was so pleased to see them both in this palette, because the palette itself is cheaper than if I had purchased the two products separately in Zurich.

I have yet to try everything in this palette (there's so much!) so I can't give you a proper review at the moment, but I have had a little play around with it so I thought I'd share my first impressions! The texture of all the powders in this palette seem akin to NARS' usual high quality products. The powders are finely milled, pigmented and very blendable. Their products also tend to last a lot longer on me than a lot of the other cheek and face powders I've tried, which is one of the reasons why I often purchase from NARS. The powders in this palette are absolutely beautiful - I spent a good while just staring at them. Here's a little summary of the products:

Paloma Contour Blush - This is a duo of a contour and highlight shade and a product I've never tried from NARS before. At first glance I thought the contour shade would be far too warm toned for me and wouldn't really do the trick, but after using it I have to say I'm really impressed! This is super soft and blendable in texture and can really carve out some cheekbones! The highlight is an interesting one, because it's completely matte and all my other highlighters are very shimmery. There's something I really like about the highlight because it subtly illuminates the face, without leaving you looking like a discoball. Its one that's hard to go overboard with, which is something I appreciate as someone who tends to be slightly overzealous with highlighter application!

Laguna Bronzing Powzer - There's not much to say about this one, as I'm sure you've all heard of Laguna before. It's a cult favourite and it already has a place in many people's makeup collections - mine included. This is the one product in the palette that I could've done without because I already got a similar deal when I picked up the NARS Virtual Domination Blush Palette - I like blush palettes - which also included a large Laguna bronzer. If you don't own Laguna yet, this is a great opportunity to try it because it's a fab product. Apparently I have enough now to last me years!

Robotic Blush - This is probably the lightest of all the blush shades, it's a very pretty pale pink and a shade that I imagine will go well with a lot of different makeup looks.

Blasphemy Blush - This seems like my usual go-to blush shade, it's kind of a rosy peach shade with some shimmer running through it. Very pretty and very versatile.

Luster Blush - I've had my eye on this blush for years now, it was one I'd been keen on trying ever since I saw it featured in a favourites video. This is a gorgeous peach shimmer shade and one that just adds a little something to your cheeks, without making you look too "done". This is one I think I'll definitely be using a lot throughout the colder months - love!

Dolce Vita Blush - This is  also a shade I've been meaning to try. It's a fairly dark pinky, berry red and another one that I think will be gorgeous for the autumn. It seems like this can be used with a lighter hand for a slight flush and also built up for a more dramatic cheek look.

Right, I've rambled on about this palette a fair amount now - can you tell that it's love? I hadn't been as excited as this for a product launch in absolutely ages and I can really say that this was worth the wait! There's so much in this palette that you can literally take this away on holiday and you have pretty much everything you need in terms of face powders and then some. On top of that, this palette really is great value for money. Yes, it may not be as practical as having a single blush to take with you on the go, but with that packaging? I'm not complaining!
