Things are always fairly beauty-centred on the blog, so today I thought I'd hit you with some of my current non-beauty favourites! This list is decidedly random; there's very little rhyme or rhythm to these choices, they're just things that I've been liking a lot lately. So without further ado, let's get on with the favourites!

Katie Leamon Notebooks - If you follow me on Instagram you'll have seen me natter on and on about these. They're just so pretty! I didn't even know about this brand until my sister bought me one of their marbled notebooks for my birthday this year and since then I've purchased another one because I'm a sucker for an aesthetically pleasing print. These are both marbled effects with different colours swirled together and they really are gorgeous. On top of that they're what I think is a perfect size for notebooks without being quite A4 size and they're great quality. These definitely make note-taking a better experience!

Urban Outfitters Portable Phone Charger - Right, little miss premature grandma here, coming at you with a piece of technology she thinks is super cool! Seriously though, iPhone batteries are pretty lame, especially once you've had the thing for over a year. I have a social media addiction to feed, so I can't be sitting around on hour long train journeys looking out the window or trying to avoid awkward eye-contact. This is basically an extra battery that you charge at home, then when you're on the go you bring a normal USB phone charging cable and plug your phone in. Bam, battery replenished! Very handy if you're a commuter too!

Voluspa Candles - Oh my gosh, these are divine! I have a bit of a thing for candles (I'm literally sitting at my desk surrounded by 12 candles - no word of a lie, I just counted the ones directly next to me!) so I think it's fair to deem myself a connoisseur of sorts when it comes to candles. The Voluspa candles are some of the best quality, amazingly scented candles I've tried that won't put you out of your month's salary either. I have a few from them, but the Baltic Amber scent is probably my favourite (it's the one pictured above). All their candles are a coconut wax blend, which means they burn super evenly and don't tunnel, plus the wicks are 100% cotton. Ooh, fancy!

Twinings Pure Peppermint Tea - This post is seriously making me feel really old. Yes, in my free time I like to sit around and drink herbal tea because caffeine makes me a little crazy for a while. To be honest, I've been drinking lots of different brands of peppermint tea - living on the edge and that - but this is the one I've been loving at the moment. Lovely for the winter too!

Zara Scarves - The one pictured above is from last year - sorry! - but I have a few scarves from Zara and I absolutely love them! There are some new lovely ones again this year and I think they're definitely worth having a look at. The great thing about Zara scarves are that they are absolutely massive. Ergo they double as blankets which is just super practical when you live somewhere like Switzerland. Oh, it was sunny yesterday so you think you can get away with just a light jacket the next day? Nope. Snow. Everywhere. Also they're super soft which is always a bonus!

This Works Deep Sleep+ Pillow Spray - I've previously sung the praises of the original Deep Sleep Pillow Spray and this one is no different. It's just a lovely smelling product that you can spray on your pillow before you go to bed, which aims to aid in relaxing you so you can sleep better. The smell of this really is super relaxing, it's a lavender blend which is generally just a really nice scent to smell before you go to bed!

Well, reading this I certainly don't think many people would guess that I'm actually 22 and not 82, but there you have it. As the weather starts to get a bit colder I tend to revert to cosier comforts and I really enjoy sitting around in my sweater weather gear sipping on some herbal tea. There's no shame in liking a bit of downtime! Or a lot of downtime. No judgement here!

  1. I really like how the scarf looks, I don't have any from Zara but I need a new scarf anyways. The notebooks look so pretty, I'm a sucker for stationery.
