H&M Beauty Haul #2

By the title of this post you may notice that this is not my first H&M Beauty Haul - guilty. My sister is a sweetheart who occasionally reads my blog and took note of how much I banged on about the H&M Beauty line. Following that, she got me a load of amazing beauty bits from the range for Christmas! Because there are a fair few products, I thought I'd do a separate little haul! Some of these I've used and some of them I haven't (you know, for blog photos and stuff) so for now I'll just be doing a bit of a show and tell. So, without further ado, let's get on with the products!

Left to right: Woodwork and Ginger Snap.

I love the H&M eye shadows, they are some of the best I've tried from the drugstore price range and they are fantastic quality for what you pay. The first of these shades is Woodwork, which is a really interesting one. At first it just looks like a browny shimmer shade, but it actually leans almost on the olive side because there's definitely a greenness to it - can you tell I'm bad at describing colours? This isn't typically the kind of shade I would gravitate towards, so I'm looking forward to incorporating this into some of my eyeshadow looks! The other shade is Ginger Snap (I'm so sorry, I can't seem to find this online anywhere! I would check in store if you're after this!) and this is the kind of shade I usually make a beeline for. A warm toned coppery gold shade? Sign me up! This is the kind of eyeshadow that I think would look gorgeous as a wash of colour over the lid and one I think I'll be cracking out in both the summer and winter!

From left to right: Pale Pink, Tawny Peach.

The H&M Pure Radiance Powder Blushers are a thing to behold. I mean, just look at that packaging! Pretty packaging aside, I've really wanted to try more shades of these blushes because I think the formula is fab. The shade Pale Pink is pretty self explanatory, it's a pale pink shade that really has the the whole "natural flush" thing down. The other shade is Tawny Peach and this is an interesting one. If you're thinking it looks more like a bronzer in the photo than a blusher, then you'd be right - it really does! However, if you look closer and really swatch it you'll see that it's got just a tiny hint of pinkiness to it, which definitely keeps it on the side of a blusher shade as opposed to a bronzer. This colour is pretty unmatched in my stash and I'm really looking forward to putting it to the test!

Cream Lipstick in Scarlet Fever.

The final product in this haul is the gorgeous Cream Lipstick in Scarlet Fever. This was actually sold as a duo along with the Tawny Peach blusher which I thought was a really great idea for a gift. This is pretty much a proper true red (as you can tell in the photo) and it's so pigmented! I'd say that a lip liner is necessary with this, as it is a cream formula and a very intense shade at that. Having said that, I think this is one of those colours that you can slick on that will transform a pretty basic makeup look into something much more interesting!

So there we have it, another little look into the world of H&M Beauty. I'm so much looking forward to giving these products more of a try now that the blog photos have been taken and I'm at no risk of "ruining" their photogenic qualities! I know I've said it a lot already, but every time I try new H&M makeup I'm so impressed. I think they really stand out from a lot of the other drugstore brands at the moment and their shade range is far wider than a lot of other brands from similar price ranges. The line is also chockabloc with dupes for high end makeup so I'd keep an eye out - more on that on the blog soon! For now I hope you've had a great weekend! Happy Monday!

  2. So far I've only tried their concealer - which is amazing and you should try it out. I keep hearing so many good things about their blushers so I'm definitely going to be trying them out next!
