A Little Beauty Haul

A Little Beauty Haul, foundation, bourjois healthy mix, eyeshadow, inglot, hm, paradise lost, becca beach tint, raspberry, nxy blush, cinnamon, haul

I haven't done a haul post in a little while over here on the blog, so today I thought I'd do a little show and tell of some of the bits I've picked up in the last month or so! There's not a whole lot, but I've definitely made a substantial dent in my bank account, whoops. So here are the products in question and some of my first impressions!

Clockwise from top left: Inglot 335, Inglot 342, Inglot 308 and H&M Beauty Paradise Lost.

Apparently I went a little crazy for eyeshadow in the last few weeks! I'll start off with the one I bought first, which is the H&M Eye Shadow in Paradise Lost. I was perusing the H&M Beauty section with a fellow blogger when I stumbled across this shade. I promptly swatched it and made her look at it about five times because this is just such a gorgeous shade. It's kind of a champagney pale bronze (dodgy shade descriptions as per usual over here) and it's a glitter shadow. This might well look pretty when swatched dry but apply this wet and you've got the prettiest glittery metallic effect! I've been loving this as a pop of shine over the rest of my eyeshadow, it really adds something extra to an otherwise very basic eye look!

My Inglot palette isn't something I've ever really spoken about on my blog before because I don't use it near enough. I recently discovered that they have a store location in Zurich - I was beyond excited about to discover this - and was given a gift certificate for my birthday in September. Since then I've slowly been filling up my palette with the Inglot eyeshadows and these two complete it! I picked up the shade 335, a gorgeous burnished orange, and 342, a sort of olive-toned brown. Upon paying I was given a little sample eyeshadow too which is the shade 309, a dark purple, not something I would normally gravitate towards but definitely one I'm looking forward to trying! I can't say much about the quality of these shadows yet because I haven't used them anywhere near enough but perhaps I'll do a full post on my palette at some point!

Typical me, sticks a product in a drugstore makeup edit post before actually hauling it. My bad! I talked about the Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation last week and said that I wasn't quite sure what I thought of it yet. That still stands but in the meantime I have discovered that the shade I picked up is slightly too light for me. For now I'm playing mixologist and mixing it with another foundation but I'll give you a proper update soon!

I absolutely love NYX blushes, they're fantastic quality, super affordable and man are there a lot of colours to choose from! I picked up one of their classic powder blushes in the shade Cinnamon recently because I was just so drawn to the colour. It's a gorgeous bright orangey red and one that looks pretty darn scary in the pan, but I have a feeling this will look gorgeous on the cheeks when used with a light hand. If my swatching it was anything to go by, this should be a lovely product!

Last but not least we have a lip/cheek product in the form of the Becca Beach Tint in Raspberry. I managed to nab this during the Christmas sales on Space.NK, so when I bought the gifts for my mum and sister I got to select a product for free (yes I kept this for myself - guilty!). I chose this because I'm a sucker for lip products in general, but I'm especially inclined to buy them when they're marketed as multi purpose and low key on-the-go products, so for some reason the phrase "Beach Tint" really resonated with me. I'm fairly sure that makes little to no sense to other people but you get the gist! I've used this a bit and so far I like it on my lips but I have yet to really try it on my cheeks. What I can say, however, is that this smells absolutely amazing and to me that's pretty important as it is!

So there we go, a little rundown on some of the beauty bits I've picked up in the last month or so! I'll definitely try to update you on how I get on with these and give you a bit more detail on whether I like them or not. Who knows, they might even pop up in a favourites post! Have you tried any of these products? Let me know! I hope you're all having a fab week!
