Non-Beauty Favourites #2

It's been a while since I did a non-beauty favourites and filled you in on all the miscellaneous things I've been loving lately, so that's exactly what I'm doing today! There's really no rhyme or reason to this collection of bits, they're just all things I've been reaching for a lot in the last month or so!

The first thing I've been verging on obsessed with in the last few weeks is Big Red gum. So random, I am aware. I have a bit of a love hate relationship with cinnamon. Sometimes I'm all for it and other times I'll run a mile at the mere scent of it. This is gum I used to chew quite a lot when I was in school and I just recently rediscovered it, so cinnamon and me have been on good terms lately. I also love that you can chew this for twenty plus minutes without it completely losing its taste and going gross. High fives all round for good gum!

Something else I've really been liking this last month is tea. I drink tea all day every day - growing up in the UK definitely left its mark on me! Whilst I mostly stick to Tetley's, every now and again I like to venture out and try something a little different. Wild, I know. Pukka is one of my favourite brands for tea, there are so many amazing flavours and the packaging is just all kinds of gorgeous. We all know I'm a sucker for aesthetics! Jasmine tea is one of my favourite tea flavours ever, so this Jasmine Green tea blend has been a firm favourite lately. A cup of this, blankets and snacks: boom, you've got yourself an evening. I told you I was wild.

Unsurprisingly, another Zara blanket scarf (similar) has stolen my heart. Zara kills it in the scarf game and there are few things I like more than items of clothing that double as blankets. Literally the ideal travel companion. I managed to snag this one in the sale, but really I can waltz into Zara at any time during the colder months and my money's on them having a scarf that I love, no matter what. These are affordable, soft and super duper warm - what's not to love?

So I kind of have a thing for notebooks. More specifically, I kind of have a thing for Katie Leamon notebooks. I ordered a Valentine's Day card from them a few weeks ago and found myself browsing in the notebook section of their website. Unsurprisingly, I immediately found about 10 things I loved, but managed to restrain myself to just getting their Gold Triangle Exercise Book. I remembered reading that this contained mixed paper, but I assumed that that might be a type of paper blend (clearly I do not possess extensive paper knowledge). What it actually means is that there is ruled, plain and graph paper inside this notebook! Perhaps it takes a stationary lover like me to get quite as excited over that as I did, but I've been absolutely loving this notebook! Plus it goes without saying that that design is all kinds of gorgeous!

If you follow me on social media or keep up with my posts on here, you may know that I cut my hair recently. In Monday's haircare products post, I touched upon the fact that since cutting my hair short, it does this thing where it flicks out at the ends, which I'm really not a fan of on me. I therefore mentioned that I've started straightening my hair. Now, this might come as a shock to you, but I never owned straighteners before I bought the Babyliss 28mm Intense Protect straighteners last month. It was just never something I deemed necessary, a sentiment that was further solidified after a friend straightened my (at the time) almost waist length hair before a party. It was so incredibly flat that it made my already questionable look appear far worse and I still cringe looking at those photos. Now, however, I have a bit more knowledge on how to add volume to my hair and these have turned many a bad hair day around for me! They heat up super quickly and do an overall great job - love.

So those are some of the things I've been loving lately - I told you they were random! I've just had a little look over my last non-beauty favourites and the grandma vibe has definitely continued on in this post. Ah well, nothing wrong with liking tea and blanket scarves! I hope you all have a fab weekend! Happy Friday!
