So May is drawing to a close and I'm not entirely sure where it's gone. Seriously, I feel like every time I sit down to do a monthly favourites post, I find myself wondering how these months are whizzing by so fast. End cliché blogger rant. I feel like I say this almost every month in these posts, but May really was a great month in terms of new beauty finds. I also rediscovered some oldies which is something my purse always thanks me for! So without further ado, let's get on with the favourites!

L'Oreal True Match Lumi Cushion Foundation - I feel like half the beauty blogging community probably has this in their favourites this month! I waited a little while before jumping onto the bandwagon with this as I was a little sceptical of the concept. Having tried this foundation for a few weeks now, I can literally say it's one of the best formulas I've tried from the drugstore. It's lightweight, glowy and just an all-round gorgeous product. If you fancy more details, I did a full review of this foundation here!

Maybelline Lash Sensational Waterproof Mascara - I've been on the hunt for a good drugstore mascara for absolutely ages and after a long period of faffing about, I finally gave in and decided to give this a try. Mascara smudges under my brows like nothing else, so I can't really wear non-waterproof formulas, hence my choice of this as opposed to the original. All in all, it's a really great mascara, it lasts all day and can hold a curl. My one gripe is that this is an absolute nightmare to remove. I feel like every time I wear it there are eyelash casualties left, right and centre. If any of you use this and have any tips on removal then I am all ears!

NARS Audacious Lipstick in Anita - If you follow me on Instagram then you'll probably already have seen this lipstick popping up on there a few times this month. Although I've had this lipstick a while it's one I'm guilty of always overlooking. When I do end up using it, I fall in love with the shade all over again. It's a gorgeous dusty rose nude that looks so flattering and makes for a fab every day lipstick. That and the demi-matte formula is long lasting, creamy and pigmented. Big thumbs up!

Jouer Long Wear Lip Crème in Pamplemousse - You're probably wondering when I'll finally pack it in with talking about these lipsticks and the answer is I'm working on it! Metallic lips have been somewhat of a thing lately. Instagram is littered with photos of people using pigments over lipsticks to create a metallic pout and I, for one, am all about it. I wrote a whole post on how to wear this lipstick, and whilst I definitely love applying it by itself, it also works great just dabbed into the centre of the lips over a nude lipstick to give your pout some dimension. A sort of lip-highlight, if you will. Plus these lipsticks smell absolutely amazing, so that's always a bonus too!

H&M Powder Blush in Tawny Peach - Another old favourite here and one I've been reaching for a lot on minimal makeup days this last month. Sometimes I fancy something a little more brown than pink for my cheeks, particularly when I'm bronzing things up a bit. This has been a great companion for the commencing of this year's bronzing and brief foray into using a gradual tan on my face. There's just something about this shade that looks lovely when you've got a bit of a summer glow going, be it the real thing or from a pan of NARS Laguna.

MAC Prep + Prime Fix+ - This is one of those products that you see pop up all over the blogosphere, it seems like everybody and their mother uses this. Having said that, I've only just gotten round to picking it up. On occasion my makeup ends up looking a little cakier than I'd like and I wanted something that would just take things back down a few notches. This definitely did the job! It transformed slightly cakey makeup back into a glowy finish as well as making my makeup last longer overall.

MAC Eye Shadow Nylon - Another one I've been meaning to pick up for absolutely ages! I'm sure you've all seen YouTube beauty gurus using this as an inner corner and brow bone highlight. It just looked like the whitest, brightest highlight I'd ever seen, so I bit the bullet and tried it out for myself. It definitely lives up to the hype! This has worked absolute wonders at brightening my eyes and the brow bone area. Whilst this definitely isn't the one for you if you're craving a natural look, it's a great pick for those days when you're amping up your makeup a notch and pretending you're Jaclyn Hill. Just me?

Diptyque Eau Rose - I'm wrapping things up on an old favourite and a perfume that I wore pretty much all of last summer. I absolutely love this scent, it's a rose fragrance that isn't too "ageing" at all. It's somehow a really modern and fresh take on a floral scent and it's one that I love using during the warmer months. The fact that it's in a rollerball makes it that bit more convenient and handbag friendly, something I'm definitely a fan of!

This was a bit of a longer favourites post! If I'm honest, this is the streamlined edit, the full rundown of all the products I've loved this month would've taken hours to both write and read! I'm so much looking forward to the warmer weather and some more sun. I've already started cracking out the coconut scents, clearly I'm ready for a holiday! What have you been loving this month?
