July 2016 Beauty Favourites

Okay, can we talk about the fact that the majority of summer is now over? How did that even happen? Now we just have August and then we're onto the autumn months again! Madness. Either way, July is drawing to a close and with that, brought along a whole lot of new (and old) beauty favourites. Here's what I've been loving during the month of July!

Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation - This is such an oldie in my collection. I've been using this foundation for years now and this is probably my fourth bottle of the stuff. I talk about a Rimmel foundation pretty much every other post, so I'm back at it again today! This foundation gives good coverage, lasts well throughout the day and leaves you looking dewy. That and it costs about £8.

NARS Laguna Bronzing Powder - I know it looks like I'm going to talk about a limited edition palette from a year back, but I promise I'm not! Although I do love that palette, it's in this month's favourites mainly for the bronzer. I've gotten a bit of a tan with this sunny weather these last few weeks and as per usual, my face has remained stubbornly pale. I love using this for a natural, bronzed up look that makes it look like my face has actually seen the sun in the last month.

The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer - Another one I've talked about a lot on the blog in the past, but one that deserves the mention! Although I own a lot of other highlighting powders, this tends to be the one I reach for the most. It's so glowy and sheeny without making you look a shimmery, oily mess. You only need a bit of it and you've already got lovely, highlighted cheekbones.

H&M Beauty Powder Blush in Tawny Peach - I feel like this may well have been in last month's favourites too - sorry! This just really is pretty much the only blush shade I've used during this last month. The shade is so neutral and really compliments a simple, bronzed up makeup look, which is what I've been going for on most day lately. If you're after an affordable blusher that's pigmented and lasts well, give this a go!

MAC Cremesheen Lipstick in Modesty - This is my go-to handbag lipstick for when I realise I'm not wearing anything on my lips but I also can't be bothered to get out a mirror to apply it. One swipe of this across your pout and you've got a nice nude finish that goes with pretty much any makeup look. It's also not drying, which I always appreciate in a lipstick!

Colourpop Matte Lippie Stix in Tootsie - Has there been a month that's gone by since my first Colourpop order where I haven't subsequently had one (or more) of their products in my monthly favourites? Probably not, but with good reason! This is the lipstick I've been using on days where I haven't reached for Modesty. You need a bit more precision with this, as it is a darker matte shade, but it's still subtle, flattering and goes well with a lot of makeup looks!

OPI Barefoot in Barcelona - I wrote a whole post about this polish, that's how enamoured I've been with it this last month. When I wear the same nail colour for weeks on end, with thorough reapplications, you know it's a favourite. This is just a super-flattering browny-nude shade that looks lovely on the nails and lasts really well too! Definitely a massive favourite this month!

Essie Go Ginza - When I haven't worn Barefoot in Barcelona on my nails, I've been wearing this. Essie is fab for pastels and lovely summery shades so this is definitely no exception. It goes opaque in two coats and I've found that this lasts so well on my nails - better than my other Essie polishes! The colour is a pale lilac and it looks lovely on the nails. A gorgeous pick for the warmer weather!

As you can see, some of my favourites are oldies that I've pulled out of my beauty stash this month and some are slightly newer. All in all, I'd say it's been a pretty good month in terms of beauty! What have you been loving this month?
