Five Pink Lipsticks To Try

I'm not entirely sure why, but as of late I've been gravitating towards pinks a lot more than usual. I never thought of myself as someone who particularly liked pink but in the last few weeks I've gone on a mild rampage, buying pink clothes, accessories and lip products left, right and centre. Along with a couple of new bits, I've dug up some oldies from my stash so I thought I'd round up five recent pink lip product favourites today!

Colourpop Ultra Matte Lip in Midi - Where do I start with this one? If you fancy faking that Kylie Jenner pout but don't fancy the lip fillers quite as much then this is the one for you. I've never used a nude lip that's made my lips look quite as full as this shade. The formula can't really be faulted (drying as it's a liquid matte lip but you know the drill) and it'll last all day. It's a super soft pink that goes with most makeup looks. Big love!

Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in Bond Girl - I absolutely love this shade. To me, it's a dark, dusky mauve pink. It leans slightly on the red side of things but I'd still describe this as a pink. This is a matte lip that isn't drying and looks super flattering. I tend to reach for this when I don't want to do a lot with my eyes as it's such a lovely muted bold shade.

MAC Lipstick in Peach Blossom - This is my second most used MAC lipstick and it's one I've thrown in my bag many a busy morning. I know I say it a lot, but this lipstick really does go with pretty much any makeup look and it's such a pretty peachy pink that it's hard to go wrong with the application. There is some shimmer running through this but it's barely noticeable. What you're left with is a lovely peachy pink pout that looks natural and hydrated.

Marc Jacobs Le Marc Lipstick in Je T'Aime - I got this tiny lipstick in a Sephora lip set a while ago and it's still one of the only shades like this I own. This is such a bright, vibrant raspberry pink and I love this smudged into the lips during the summer. It's one of those colours that really perks up your complexion and looks gorgeous with a tan.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Istanbul - My love-hate relationship with the Soft Matte Lip Creams has been well documented on the blog. For a while I just really wasn't convinced that these were all that great. As far as I was concerned they transferred, so how long lasting could they really be? Turns out that although they transfer, they really do pack a lot of pigment and last well throughout the day. The shade of this is totally not something I'd usually go for, it's a very pink rosy pink. Nonetheless, I'm a fan. I think this looks really pretty on the lips and it's super affordable too!

From left to right: Midi, Bond Girl, Peach Blossom, Je T'Aime and Istanbul.

So there we have it, a roundup of the pinks I've been loving lately. There's a bit of a mix of matte, sheen, bolds and neutrals so hopefully this has given you some ideas if you've been on the hunt for a pink lipstick! What are some of your favourite pink lipsticks?

  5. I've seen Bond Girl featured a lot but this is the first time I feel like I need to add this to my wishlist, thanks to your swatch. By the way, you spelled Bond Girl as BoLd girl, you might want to correct that, hun ;)
