Five for Autumn

The weather's cooled off, the jumpers are out and the berry shades are back: autumn is slowly but surely upon us. As I did last year, I'm getting into the spirit of things by switching up my makeup wardrobe. I'm all about the copper and burgundy right now, so I thought I'd share some of my autumnal favourites today. Here are five beauty bits you can't really go wrong with this autumn!

Colourpop Super Shock Shadow in Sequin - How pretty is this? I mean, just look at that shade! It's such a gorgeous warm copper and, although you can't really tell from the swatch, it's got an almost wet look to it. That's how metallic/shimmery it is. Absolutely gorgeous. These shadows are generally amazing anyway and settle somewhere between a cream and powder on the formula front. They're pigmented, blendable and pretty much everything else you want from an eyeshadow. I have a fair few shades of this shadow now, but this is definitely one I'm looking forward to wearing now that it's a bit colder.

Smashbox Photo Op Eye Shadow in Cinnamon - I only got my hands on this recently, but my oh my is it a beaut'. I didn't think much of it when I saw it in the pan, but once you swatch it, you can really see how gorgeous it is. If you only use a light wash of this, it gives the lid a lovely warmth that looks great even just by itself. You can also build this up into a more coppery, bronzey shade for a smokier look. Plus, the shade name is just so appropriate for this time of year!

Rimmel Lasting Finish Matte by Kate Moss Lipstick in 107 - Alright, alright, I know most of you already have this and three back ups tucked away in your stash but I couldn't not put this in here! As far as autumnal lip shades go, this one's a bit of a classic. Beauty gurus and bloggers have made this into somewhat of an autumn staple and although it took me years to find, I'm so glad I did! This with minimal eye makeup is a super fuss-free way to bring a bit of an autumnal vibe into your look.

Colourpop Ultra Matte Lippie Stix in Pillow Talk - For those who tend to prefer deeper browns as opposed to reds during the colder months, I've got you covered! If it's brown you're after, this lipstick is a bit of a game-changer. I've never used a creamier matte lipstick than this particular formula and the pigmentation is just fab. A great shade for that grungey autumn look.

Sleek Powder Blush in Suede - The colour of this reminds me of pumpkins - that alone is enough to deem this an autumnal blush in my books! If you fancy a shade to compliment your heavier makeup, this is a great one. It goes with so many makeup looks and adds just a little wash of colour, without tipping the whole thing over into "too-much" territory. So affordable too!

From left to right; Cinnamon, Sequin, 107, Pillow Talk and Suede.

So there we have it, a roundup of five beauty bits to try this autumn! I'm really liking delving back into my autumnal makeup bounty and blogging about more autumnal things too! What are some of your beauty favourites for autumn? (Soz, I realise how many times I've said autumn in this post. Autumn.)
