Five to try from Colourpop

So I'm kind of obsessed with Colourpop makeup. From my very first haul I was hooked, and subsequent purchases were made. I've never come across a brand that has such amazing value for money. This stuff outperforms so much of my high-end makeup and most things in their line will set you back a grand total of about $6. Seriously. The only downside? There's so much to choose from? When I first went to place an order I realised I needed to take an hour to properly sift through reviews and swatches to figure out what I really wanted (yes, I take makeup shopping very seriously). For those of you faced with a similar (very harrowing) prospect, I thought I'd round up five things that are seriously worth picking up, along with some swatches.

Ultra Satin Lip in November - This was a liquid lipstick in the fairly recent Kathleenlights x Colourpop collab (of which I bought all the pieces). What drew me to this was the rosy shade that was pretty and flattering whilst also maintaining a boldness that perks up the complexion. It doesn't disappoint and I think this works well for during the day and for a more evening-appropriate look. The formula of these is great for people who aren't a fan of super drying lipstick formulas; it does dry down but not completely. It still transfers slightly, but lasts well and has some serious pigmentation!

Matte Lippie Stix in Tootsi - For anyone in search of a gorgeous greige lip shade: give this a try! I think it's very easy for a lipstick with a grey undertone to make you look a wee bit drab, but this keeps things on the right side of grungey. It's a matte, non-drying formula with great pigmentation and looks lovely paired with coppery tones on the lids!

Matte X Lippie Stix in Cami - I'm going to talk about pigmentation throughout this whole post, but if it's pigment you're after, look no further. This is one step up from the Matte formula to Matte X and is just about the creamiest lipstick I've ever tried. You can lightly touch this to your skin and you'll already get opacity. I love this shade because it's just such a great, classic mauve. Great for during the day, but can also be paired with a more intense eye-look for a night out.

Super Shock Shadow in Wattles - These shadows are absolutely incredible. They're buttery, blendable and so pigmented! This shade is a fab one for a lazy eyeshadow day, a wash of this on the lids, a swipe of lipstick and you're done.

Super Shock Shadow in La La - If you're into rose gold, you might love this. It's so incredibly pretty and looks gorgeous on the lids. The shadow quality is on par with with aforementioned shade and yeah, you guessed it, it's pigmented as anything. This definitely has to be one of my favourite eyeshadows ever, which is a pretty big statement considering I'm somewhat of an eyeshadow magpie/hoarder!

From top to bottom: Tootsi, Cami, November, Wattles and La La.
So there we have it, a little roundup for those of you looking to buy a few bits from Colourpop but unsure of where to start. (Or for those who are simply doing a bit of window shopping!) I really recommend checking out some of Colourpop's beauty bits if you haven't already, they're just so fab! What're some of your favourite Colourpop products?
