A Moisturiser for Lazy Days

One of the big downsides of the colder months is exiting the shower into what is basically the North Pole. All I want to do when I'm standing there in the freezing cold, toes already half frozen off is throw on a bathrobe and run to my cosy clothes. Alas, if you're anything like me, you can't just put your clothes on after a shower, you have to moisturise. Now I don't just mean a splash of lotion on your face and go, I'm talking intensive, thorough, full-on body moisturisation.

My skin gets so super duper dry, especially during the colder months, that I always have to moisturise after a shower and this gets particularly tedious when it's near freezing point outside. I've tried the spray on, quickie lotions and they're just too thin. Yes, they're quick but they don't do squat for my skin.

I tried a few in-shower body moisturisers before quickly (and angrily) declaring the whole thing a gimmick and chucking them away. Enter Lush Ro's Argan Body Conditioner. I'm pretty sure I was wooed into the purchase by a beauty post of some sort, but it was the scent that really won me over once I was in store.

This. Smells. Amazing. My favourite, favourite Lush scent by far. It's a rose scent that also has a sweetness to it, without being at all sickly. It's gorgeous and it really hangs around during the day, which I love.

So, as is implied by the whole in-shower body conditioner concept, you use this in the shower, post wash, before you leave the shower. Just work it into your skin, rise briefly and then leave the shower. This means you get to hydrate your skin in the luxury of a warm shower and when you do vacate into the bitter cold, you can grab your robe and go! Plus, unlike other in-shower body moisturisers, this actually leaves your skin feeling smooth and soft. You can still feel it on your skin for a while after, but it sinks in and leaves things looking, feeling and smelling lovely.

If you fancy moisturising in the warm or you're just straight up having a lazy day, give this a sniff in store. You just might love it! Have you tried any in-shower body moisturisers? What are some of your favourite bits from Lush? I think I may have to pick up a few more things!

  2. My skin also gets really dry once it gets colder, I didn't start using Lush body products until last year. I have to give this lotion a try.
