Sephora Haul #2

On my recent jaunt to Rome, I was very pleased to discover that there is a Sephora at almost every corner of the main city. Obviously, sightseeing and doing a whole lot of walking took priority, but makeup shopping came in at a close second. Italy means Europe, ergo the cool American brands aren't one's you'll find in the aisles of these particular Sephoras, but they still had Too Faced amongst many other cool brands that you won't find counters of in Switzerland. So I did a little spending and I'm here to show you the results!

Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Pop Collection - I saw this only once during my whole trip and it was at the Sephora at a big train station. I was umming and ahhing over whether or not to get it, as I already own Champagne Pop along with a bevy of other highlighters. I almost considered leaving it and going back to it at another Sephora if I still wanted it, but I picked it up anyway and thank goodness I did! I know this is perhaps somewhat annoying because it's no longer available on Sephora (unless you live in Australia, they still have it in stock there!), so I'll keep this brief. The highlighters are gorgeous and the blushes are super pigmented. It's a heavy one, but the fab packaging is definitely worth it!

Issey Misake Eau D'Issey Rollerball - I loved this perfume when I was in my early teens and I used to wear it so much. I'd considered repurchasing it, but didn't want to splurge on a full bottle, so when I saw this little rollerball I zeroed in on it and headed to the till. This is a super floral perfume, so if you're not into that, you might not like it. It's definitely an old fave of mine and I'm very happy to have it back in my perfume stash!

Too Faced Chocolate Bar Eyeshadow Palette - I think almost everyone had already purchased this, used it to death and repurchased it before I even got my hands on it. But hey, I have it now, and I'm pretty chuffed with it! I'm a neutral eyeshadow kinda gal (although I do love to dabble in oranges and other warm tones) so this is the kind of palette that really calls out to me. Yes, there are a few duds in there for me that I probably won't get much use out of, but for the most part, I've been making use of almost all the shades in the palette. The formula is great: pigmentation and blendability are both pretty stellar. Highly recommend this one!

Too Faced Melted Lipstick in Sugar - I have a mini one of these lipsticks in another shade and for anyone who is a big fan of these: how do you wear them without them completely drying your lips out?! I end up with a greasy film over very dry lips and it's not often I react to a lip product like that. With the other shade, the colour at least makes up for it but with this shade (and this is completely my fault) it's so nude, that it looks totally ridiculous when applied properly. At post I can get away with a tiny bit of it patted into my lips, but the colour disappears within the hour and I'm left with dry lips. If anyone has any tips they'd be much appreciated!

Too Faced Melted Matte Lipstick in Child Star - This lipstick, on the other hand, I am chuffed with. I heard a beauty YouTuber talking about this in a video and upon seeing that it was sold out online, had a look for it in Sephora. Sure enough, there it was and into my basket it went. I tried this out as soon as I bought it and I loved it straight away. I know this looks so similar in shade to Sugar, but it's that tiny bit darker and more greige-y that it looks and works with my skin tone. This does dry darker than it applies, so be wary of that if you're swatching it! It lasts so well and it doesn't dry out my lips more than the usual matte liquid lipstick.

Too Faced Born This Way Concealer - I'd heard so much about this online that I thought I'd best give it a try. I tend to have issues with my concealer creasing under my eyes, regardless of the concealer I use or the powder I use to set it. This is the only product of the bunch that I haven't tried yet, as I still have numerous concealers I'm using and don't want to open yet another one before at least one runs out! I will, however, keep you posted!

Not a huge haul, but definitely some substantial spending! I am also aware that almost all of the products were from Too Faced, but I hear and read so much about it online that I really wanted to give a few of their products a go! Have you tried any of these beauty bits? Have a fantastic weekend and happy Friday!

Don't forget to follow along!

  1. Amazing products, I really wanna try the Becca collection, it seems incredible

  2. Chocolate Bar palette is one of those classic neutral palette like UD, but I gravitate more toward it since it has 'fun' color selection than UD. Hope you can work out that TF lisptick, it's a pretty color!

  4. The chocolate bar palette is one of the best, you will definitely love that. I actually didn't like the born this way concealer at all, it creased so much on me.
