Three from the Kiehl's Advent Calendar

This year was the year I bought myself an advent calendar. No one else was going to and I definitely did not want to miss out on the fun of opening a little window every day in December in the lead up to Christmas. After much back and forth I settled on the Kiehl's one. It was surprisingly affordable (approximately 60 Swiss francs) and it looked pretty good. Well, as it turns out, it's absolutely amazing. You get fantastically sized products in here, as well as a few full-sized products here and there. If you're a skincare junkie or just a Kiehl's fan in general, I highly highly recommend trying this one year. Thus far there have been some standout products and a few I've been meaning to try out for ages. Here are three of the bits I'm most excited about!

Super Multi-Corrective Cream - I don't think I'd ever really heard of this prior to receiving it in the calendar, but my oh my is it a good 'un. I'm very wary of moisturisers as many with combination/oily skin are, especially one that feels pretty moisturising indeed. The product states that you can use it in the mornings as well as in the evenings. I've tried both options and they both work really well. My one word of warning to fellow oily-skinned gals would be to perhaps be a little careful when applying this in the morning. You can end up looking just a tad shiny if you get a little overzealous with the application process. Other than that, a fab product!

Skin Rescuer - This is one I haven't actually tried yet and I'm so much looking forward to giving it a go. It's supposed to be a fix stressed skin, dubbing itself a "Stress-Minimizing Daily Hydrator". To someone whose skin tends to be a little on the sensitive side, this sounds pretty fab. As it has a bit of a lighter texture, I also think it'll be a great one for under makeup. I will keep you posted!

Turmeric & Cranberry Seed Energizing Radiance Masque - One of the days in the advent calendar was a voucher to go to a Kiehl's counter and pick out three deluxe samples of your choice. This was recommended to me by the lady working at the counter for my skin type. I don't remember the last time I did a face mask before cracking this one out last weekend and I didn't realise how much I'd missed it. There's something very soothing about caking your face in strange goop and traipsing about the house on a Sunday. It feels lovely and tingly on the skin, which I appreciate, as it makes me feel like it's actually working Give this about ten minutes to dry and then you can (gently!) exfoliate your skin as you wash it off, thanks to the bigger particles in the mask. What you're left with is a brighter, almost glowing complexion that I'm very much on board with!

I've practically been waxing lyrical about this calendar to anyone who'll listen. It's just fantastic, great value for money and you get to try so many new skincare products! I know that it's a little late to be talking about an advent calendar, with most of them being sold out and Christmas right around the corner anyway, but these products are all available for purchase, so I thought I'd share my thoughts anyway! What are some of your favourite Kiehl's products? Have a fab weekend and happy Friday!

Don't forget to follow along!
