Rose Gold Lips, Lids and Tips

I'm not going to lie, if something is rose gold, it's automatically 90% more likely to end up in my basket. There's just something so beautiful about rose gold hues and I've found myself incorporating them into pretty much all the different areas of my beauty wardrobe - most frequently my lids, lips and nails. I thought I'd do a little roundup of some of my favourites from each category and have a good ol' ramble about all things rose gold!

If it's rose gold eyes you're after, the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette is kind of a must-have. Even the packaging is enough to make you swoon. It houses a whole range of beautiful shades to help you achieve pretty much any rose gold eye-look. For those of you after a more intense, metallic eye-look, I dug out one of the Laura Mercier cream eyeshadows in the tube, which they have since (seemingly) discontinued. The Caviar Stick Eye Colour in Rose Gold is now, however, firmly on my to-buy list. An honourable mention also has to go to MAC All That Glitters, which is a lovely, subtle rose gold shimmer shade that gives the lids a little something "extra", even just as a wash all over the lids and requires next to no effort.

I think wearing rose gold shades on your lips is probably a bit of a divided one. I, for one, love a good metallic lipstick, but it does take a little work and a little getting used to. If you don't shy away from a bold metallic, I'd recommend trying the Colourpop Ultra Metallic Lip in Man Eater. This is a serious rose gold that certainly packs a punch when it comes to pigment. It's matte but doesn't dry down completely, so it won't suck all the hydration out of your lips. A slightly more matte option is the Jouer Long-Wear Lip Crème Liquid Lipstick in Pamplemousse. They seem to have quietly discontinued the shade, but Papaye is also a gorgeous metallic rose gold shade. For those that shy away from space-y lips, there's the Essence XXXL Shine Lipgloss in Glamour To Go. It imparts a lovely metallic sheen to the lips, without stickiness or making too much of a statement. Plus it's so darn affordable!

Last, but not least, a few nail options! H&M Beauty makes so many fantastic polishes and whilst I've had mixed experiences with a few of the shades, the polish in the colour Shakudo is really fab quality. It's super metallic and looks absolutely gorgeous on the nails! For something a lot more pink, the Models Own Nail Polish in Chrome Rose is beautiful. It's really affordable, the formula is fab and I'm a sucker for metallic packaging! If you prefer your tips to be a more subdued hue of rose gold, Essie's Buy Me A Cameo is a great pick. It reminds me somewhat of the All That Glitters Eyeshadow, but in nail polish form. It's a super subtle and classy way to rock a bit of rose gold!

I think it's pretty obvious that I'm more than a little enamoured with all things rose gold. Hopefully this has given you some direction if you've been itching to add a few new faves to your beauty stash! What are some of your rose gold favourites?

Don't forget to follow along!
