Beauty on Trial

Most people with beauty blogs will testify to the fact that they try a whole lotta products on a pretty regular basis. I'm no exception and during any given week, chances are I'm rotating a bunch of new products to test them out and deliver my thoughts on the blog. I rarely talk about the products that are currently on the bench, waiting to see if they'll get a mention, so today I thought I'd chat about a few I'm currently trying or am planning on subbing into my routine soon!

Morphe x Kathleenlights Palette - This is a bit of an annoying one, as it's not actually available anymore, but I thought I'd mention this purely from the standpoint of Morphe shadow quality. This palette is the first product I've ever tried from the brand and after hearing so many positive reviews, I was really looking forward to putting it to the test myself. All I can say so far is that the rumours are true - these shadows are kind of amazing. They're pigmented, blendable and long lasting and despite there being a few shades in here I likely won't touch, the overall colour selection features a lot of nudes, which I'm very much on board with. There are still a few shades I haven't tried but my overall opinion of this so far is that it's kind of fab.

Avène Cold Cream* - As someone with sensitive skin, I tend to stick to no-frills type of moisturisers that seem harmless enough so as not to break me out. Ive read some mixed reviews online, but the general consensus seems that this is a great, albeit heavy, moisturiser for the evenings. I have yet to fully use this in my skincare routine, but the texture looks lovely and it's not too pricey either! I am slightly wary that this will be a bit heavy on my oily skin, so I'll keep you posted on how I get along with this one!

NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Lonely Heart* - I absolutely love the NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencils. The formula is fantastic and there are so many beautiful shades. I've swatched this one a few times and applied it to the lips, but I have yet to really wear it for a full day to see if it performs as well as the other colours. So far it looks gorgeous and pigmented, so I'm really looking forward to using it a bit more!

So there we have it, just a few of the beauty bits I've been putting to the test lately. I'm absolutely love trying new products and it's always great when you discover something fab that you can shout about and (gently) force your friends to try too. I'll let you know how these worked out for me, you might see them crop up in a future post or two! Have a fantastic weekend and happy Friday!

Don't forget to follow along!
