Bloggers Made me Buy it

Of all the things that'll get me to buy a product, bloggers definitely have the biggest influence on me. If I see one of my favourite bloggers ranting and raving about a product, chances are, I'll be sitting there wild-eyed, credit card already in hand. Now and again I'll seek out bloggers' advice on a product I already have my eye on but every now and again, I'll see someone's post and be immediately convinced that I need said product. Today I thought I'd do a little show and tell and round up five of my blogger-induced purchases!

Jouer Long Wear Lip Crème Liquid Lipstick - I remember all my favourite beauty bloggers and vloggers going on about these and back then I don't think I'd tried all that many liquid lipsticks at all. I saw the shade range and the promise of comfortable longevity and Cult Beauty order practically placed itself. I have to say, these are still some of my favourite liquid lipsticks out there and I am planning on getting a few more!

MAC Whirl Lip Pencil - Okay, so Kylie Jenner - my old pal - also played a pretty large role in this purchase, but the blogger hysteria certainly didn't help my cause. I was practically crazed for about a week trying to track this down, convinced that I, too, could sport the impressive pout that was Kylie Jenner's lips. Got the lip liner, love it, but still have my regular old normal-sized lips.

ColourPop Makeup - By this I mean pretty much anything ColourPop, ever. My collection of ColourPop makeup is both impressive and terrifying. The products are, however, some of my absolute favourites and I always loved scouring my favourite blogs for shades and swatches to steer me in the right direction on my next order. Although shipping made this stuff somewhat tough to get ahold of for a while, I'm definitely glad I persevered - what a trooper.

Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette - Funny story: When I went to buy this, I actually wanted to get the Naked 1 Palette. I'd seen it in blog posts and beauty videos and was absolutely convinced that it was the best palette ever. This was years ago (I know, I know, don't lecture me about sell-by dates!) before I had any experience with Urban Decay and when I got to the counter, I saw Naked Basics palette and just kind of rolled with it. I remember thinking that it really was quite small and not how I really remembered it, but purchasing it anyway. Well, turns out I'm mildly idiotic, but also that I love this palette. It's still one I reach for when I'm travelling for a great little simple set of shadows.

Charlotte Tilbury Dolce Vita Palette - This is still one of my most luxurious purchases. I remember exactly how excited I was to see Charlotte Tilbury makeup in real life after seeing so many bloggers talk about it in their posts. The palette is just absolutely gorgeous and I think the collection of shades is really unique. It's one of the most photogenic palette in my collection and definitely still one of my absolute favourites! Well worth the splurge.

So there we have it, the "bloggers made me buy it" beauty bits. There isn't a single one of these I regret, so all I can really do is thank the bloggers that led me to the purchases! I have so many more blogger-induced buys, so perhaps there'll be another one of these posts at some point! Have a fab weekend and happy Friday!
