Rosy Hues for Spring

I was going to get on here and wax lyrical about the gorgeous shades of pink that are currently scattered around my neighbourhood and how happy I am about the sunny spring weather. Well. Now it's snowing, so there's that. I shan't let that rain on my parade, I'm still firmly in the spring mindset and so is my makeup routine. I've been incorporating rosy hues left right and centre, so today I thought I'd chat about a few of my faves!

Marc Jacobs Le Marc Lip Crème Lipstick in Je T'aime - First off - this is adorable. It's tiny and dinky and whilst that does mean I have to use it sparingly, it also means it's adorable. Adorable. I love the formula of this lipstick, it's creamy, pigmented and has a satin finish. It's a deep rosy shade and I feel like it perks up my whole complexion when I wear it. It's become a pretty solid favourite!

Covergirl Colorlicious Lipstick in Sultry Sienna - These lipsticks are so affordable and such great quality. This is also one with a satin finish, meaning it lasts pretty darn well, without sucking all of the hydration out of your lips. If you're a fan of dusky rose nudes then this should definitely be on your list! When you consider the bang for your buck, you're really saving money. Flawless logic.

NARS blush in Bumpy Ride* - I feel like this is such a universally flattering blush. It's a very light, rosy pink with just a hint of peachiness to it that I think will look great on a lot of different skin tones. This is on par with NARS' other formulas so in short: pretty fantastic. I know I can crack this out for pretty much any makeup look and it'll do it's thing. It also wears so nicely throughout the day, which is something I always look out for in a blush.

Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil - Okay, so this may apply on the lips with just a tiny hint of pink, but it's a gorgeous one and really fits this whole pink aesthetic I've been feeling lately. If you're not a fan of gloss, I really recommend trying this. It's a lip oil, but it's not greasy or sticky and somehow manages to lightly hydrate your lips. A great one to chuck in your bag when you're on the go!

ColourPop Supershock Shadow in Wattles - I proclaimed this one of my all time favourite eyeshadows a while ago and the fact that this has a gorgeous rosy undertone definitely has something to do with it. It blends out beautifully and is, in my opinion, the ideal can't-be-bothered-with-my-eyeshadow-today shade. A quick swipe of this, a few coats of mascara and you're set for the day.

I may be freezing and reluctantly taking my winter coat back out of it's apparently premature hibernation but it's still spring in my mind! Here's to hoping the weather starts cooperating with and my makeup picks me soon! What are some of your favourite spring beauty bits?
