Three New Nail Faves

Nail polish and lipsticks are two of the categories where I'm the most impulsive with my purchases. My collection is far too big, yet when I see something I haven't tried or a colour that tickles my fancy, it somehow finds its way into my basket. I recently added a few newbies to my collection, and I've been using a whole lot, so I thought it was high time for another polish ramble.

Deborah Lippmann Gel Lab Base Coat - For some reason, I haven't been able to find this on the web, so it may not quite be available online yet. I've never tried anything from Deborah Lippmann before but not for a lack of trying. The brand is pretty hard to get ahold of here in Zurich, so I was chuffed when I managed to get my hands on the base coat. I've been using the same cheapo bottle of dodgy base coat for about a year, too lazy to get a new one. I've already noticed a huge difference to the wear time of my polish since subbing this in; there's less chipping and it seems to stay put for far longer. I'll definitely be using this one a lot over spring/summer!

Sally Hansen Color Therapy in Powder Room - The polishes I've tried from Sally Hansen thus far have never failed to impress me, so I had high hopes for this one. To be honest, I'm not quite sure what the whole argan oil part of this is about and it's not something they've elaborated about on their website, so I'm assuming it's just a wee bit gimmicky. That aside, the shade of this is absolutely gorgeous and I'd been looking for a more subtle pinky rose colour for a while. This does pull just a touch silver for my liking, but I think it's a nice pearly shade nonetheless. I love the wide brush on this and the overall formula is great too.

Essie Gel Couture in Perfect Posture - I've heard some mixed reviews as far as the Essie Gel Couture line is concerned, but I've tried two of the shades and have really liked both. They last so much better on me than the original Essie formula and both go opaque in two coats. So no surprises that I like this shade too. It's a super duper pale baby blue, which I think will be a great one for the warmer months, along with a tan. I even painted my nails with this twice in a row, so it's long since been declared love. Highly recommend!

So there we have it, a little delve into my current nail wardrobe. Predictably enough, I really am getting into lighter and more spring-y nail shades as the weather improves, so expect more pastels to be flung your way in the next few weeks! What are some of your current nail faves?
