June 2017 Beauty Favourites

Another month has flown by and it's time to chat about which beauty bits have stood out to me over the last four weeks. I feel like this month has been even busier than the last (and that's saying something), yet somehow I've managed to squeeze in a fair few new makeup faves! So without further ado, here's the best in beauty from the month of June.

Benefit Roller Lash Mascara - Okay, so this one isn't a new discovery but this acted as a bit of a bench warmer after I dabbled in some other mascaras. I went back to this one at the beginning of the month and immediately remembered why I loved it so much. It gives your lashes amazing length and volume. The only downside is that it smudges slightly on me underneath my brow bone, just like pretty much every other mascara I've used. I think I'll try the waterproof formula and see if that's a little more heavy-duty on the smudge-prevention front.

Estée Lauder Summer Lip Glow in Sunlit Nude - I just wrote a whole post on this and another item from this particular summer collection, because I love them so much. This lipstick has barely left my side since I bought it. To me it's the ideal summer lip shade. It's a nude but it really does impart such a gorgeous glow to the lips and leaves things looking polished but still super natural. Pricey but the formula is fab and the packaging is just stunning.

Rodial Blush in Copacabana - How gorgeous is this shade? If you're a fan of coral-coloured blushers, you might just love this. It effortlessly creates the illusion of a naturally rosy complexion and the formula is fantastic. It's not obnoxiously pigmented, something I find tough with blushers as you can easily end up with a case of clown-face. One quick swipe of the brush in the pan and you've got enough product for both cheeks. A* for packaging here too!

Kylie Cosmetics x KKW Lipstick in Kimmie - I keep forgetting these lipsticks are no longer available (although with the launch of KKW Beauty, who knows?) so I won't go on, but this has been a solid favourite this month. This is not by any means your typical liquid lipstick. It will barely last through sipping water, let alone a meal but the shade and formula of this has me hooked. It somehow evens out your lips, making them look smoother and plumper overall. This shade pulls quite rosy on me, something I really like and that's proven a great addition to natural makeup looks. Here's to hoping they bring these back!

Urban Decay All-Nighter Setting Spray - Another one I mentioned recently and have been using pretty much every day since purchasing. I often felt like my makeup was missing that "finishing step" and my facial mist just wasn't cutting it, in terms of improving the longevity of my base. This filled that gap and now sits happily on my set of drawers and gets reached for on the reg. If you struggle with fading/cakey makeup, this is a great one to try out.

MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly - So I kind of only stuck this in here for sentimental reasons. I recently scraped out the last dregs of my old Painterly Paint Pot and repurchased it straight away because I can't be without it. In my opinion, this is just the best eyeshadow primer out there. It's very fuss-free and simple but it gets the job done. Eyeshadow adheres to it fantastically, it evens out any discolouration and it makes anything you apply over the top of it last that much longer. A very consistent favourite!

So there we have it, the beauty picks I've fallen for in the last month. There are a fair few more than I'd usually stick in here, but I have been somewhat more spendy since seeing all the gorgeous summer collection. Here's to being slightly more frugal in the next few weeks! What have been some of your favourites from the month of June? Have a fantastic weekend and happy Friday!

  1. I really want to try the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray and the MAC Paint Pot in Painterly is something I think I am going to have to give in purchasing soon. I hear so many great things about it and it really sounds like something I would love.

  2. I've been loving the UD All Nighter Spray, too! I can relate with how 'lacking' it is when I go without spraying this all over my face, lovely product indeed.
