A Few Recent Repurchases

I'm sure I'm not the only one who finds repurchasing makeup far less fun than shopping for new makeup. Funnily enough, I love reading about what other people repurchase, as I think it's always a big deal when someone who tries so many things, goes to the effort of using something up and then repurchasing. In light of that, I thought I'd chat about my less exciting but tried and true makeup picks that I've repurchased lately. Nothing wild or fancy here, just ride or dies that are well worth a try!

Catrice Liquid Camouflage Concealer - Not only is this one of the cheapest concealers I've ever tried, it's the best by a long shot. Pretty much any concealer will crease on me under my eyes - I've accepted that - but this one does the best job at brightening my under eyes and creasing very very minimally. As with any other concealer, I do recommend setting it, but that's just routine for me at this point. It has great coverage and good lasting power. The only downside is the somewhat pungent fragrance - this stuff is strong. It's not an unpleasant smell by any means and despite my sensitive skin, it doesn't break me out and the scent goes away after application - just something to mention for those sensitive to fragrance!

Benefit Roller Lash Mascara (mini) - I'm currently scraping out the dregs of my full-size version of this. I don't know what's wrong with me, but for some reason I just couldn't bring myself to splash out the money on the full size of this. I absolutely love what it does for my lashes and it's by far one of the best mascara's I've ever used but man is it expensive in Zurich! On top of that, this does the whole dreaded smudging under my brow bone, but I've yet to find a stellar mascara that doesn't do that. So therefore I've purchased the mini for now but I'm hoping for a miracle mascara discovery! If you have any suggestions please do let me know!

Makeup Forever Ultra HD Loose Powder - This was a no-brainer for me. It's the powder I use every day and pretty much the only thing that'll keep my makeup somewhat on my face during this horrendously hot and humid weather. If you have oily skin and you're on the hunt for a translucent setting powder, swatch this on the back of your hands and marvel at what it does to your pores. Yes, you'll get mad flash-back if you overdo it and take flash photos but for every day makeup, it's a pretty great product.

So there we go; two loves and one stand-in. It pains me that not all my makeup favourites are quite as cheap as the Catrice concealer but the other two repurchases were just necessary. Whatcha gunna do... Do let me know if you have any great mascara recs! Now to ration out the Roller Lash until I inevitably cave and buy another mini. I'll learn eventually. Probably.

  5. Try Maybelline's lash sensational! At first I was dubious about the hype but after trying it myself, I can see why many people fall for it.
